LEXINGTON, Ky. — Cyclists and families are gearing up to glow for safety as Lexington’s fifth annual Glow Ride returns to Coolavin Park on Friday, Nov. 7.
Location: Coolavin Park
Time: 5–7:30 p.m. (ride begins at 6:30)
Cost: Free and open to all ages
The free event, hosted by the city and the Lexington Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, encourages riders to light up their bikes and gear for an evening of fun and visibility on the road. Organizers say the event not only builds community spirit but also raises awareness about roadway safety as daylight hours get shorter in the fall.
The Glow Ride is held each year around Daylight Saving Time as a reminder to “Be seen. Be safe.” Participants are encouraged to decorate themselves and their bikes with lights, glow gear, and reflect
