CHARLOTTE, N.C. – LaMelo Ball has picked up the first fine of the 2025 – 2026 season. The Hornets guard was hit with a $35,000 fine after giving a referee the bird. He was also given a technical foul. Ball has landed in hot water with the league on multiple occasions. Last season during a postgame interview, he used “offensive and derogatory” language. As a result, the NBA issued ball a $100,000 fine. Many people are asking should these players have to pay bigger fines?
