Western, Mich. (WLNS) — The Parma Western girls volleyball team wrapped up their regular season 38-9-1 and finished with an Interstate 8 tournament championship. The Panthers are led by 2nd year head coach Jo-Dee Johnston. Johnston has been around the program for a while, as she was the freshmen and junior varsity coach before becoming the head varsity coach.
Johnston and her team have grown up together since she's moved up in the coaching ranks, and her players have gotten older.
"It's been fun because I've got to be with them all along and they know a little bit about what I'm about and I know what they're about. There's not a lot of guessing because they know what I expect from them and I know what they expect from me," said Johnston.
