WARREN – Andrew Corder remembers his freshman year, where Warren De La Salle took some lumps during the regular season.

The Pilots finished only 8-9-0 in the regular season and finished in sixth in the Catholic High School League Central Division. In fact, De La Salle only scored 37 goals in the regular season while conceding 37 and were unranked entering the Division 2 state tournament.

The Pilots starting to figure some things out late in the regular season, going 3-2 down the stretch. De La Salle played a bevy of Division 1 schools that season – much like they do every year – and most certainly learned from that challenging schedule and clearly turned a corer during the Division 2 state tournament in 2023.
