BATAVIA, Ohio —
One person is dead and three others are injured after a four-car crash in Batavia Township that closed a road for several hours, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
It happened at 6:18 p.m. near the intersection of State Route 32 and Olive Branch-Stonelick Road. Advertisement
According to OSP, a Ford Ranger, driven by Scott Temple, 63, of Batavia, was traveling west on OH-32 when the vehicle drove off the left side of the road, crossed the median, and went into the eastbound lanes.
The vehicle was then hit by a Chevrolet Silverado, causing a chain reaction with two other cars struck.
Temple sustained serious, life-threatening injuries, OSP said. He was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
