Warmer weather moved back into New Mexico Thursday afternoon. A couple of cold fronts will cool some areas off through Saturday, but warmer weather returns again starting Sunday.
It was another cold start to the day across New Mexico, with near-freezing temperatures all the way into southern New Mexico. Albuquerque has still not officially dropped to freezing yet, but some areas on the Westside, Rio Rancho, Los Lunas, and Belen fell below freezing this morning. This afternoon, warmer weather moved back in, with high temperatures near and above average for this time of year. High temperatures have been as much as 10° to 20° warmer than yesterday. Tonight, won't be nearly as cold.
The jet stream will dip down across New Mexico Friday, bringing a breezy northwest wind into the state. Gusts
