MANCHESTER, N.H. —
State lawmakers are continuing to clash over the pending exhaustion of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits.
On Thursday, New Hampshire House Republicans blamed Democrats, while Democrats said the Trump administration can and should release emergency funds to provide SNAP benefits.

"New Hampshire taxpayers should be absolutely appalled by the actions of Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen, Chris Pappas and Maggie Goodlander, who have stood by a government shutdown, for leverage purposes that national Democrats want to have over the current administration," said Rep. Joe Sweeney, R-Salem.
