WEST COVINA — Northview has established itself as one of the most consistent football programs in the San Gabriel Valley.
That winning standard brings with it expectations. Those expectations were met once again as the Vikings closed out the regular season by defeating West Covina, 35-0, on Thursday night to earn a three-way share of the Valle Vista League championship.
Northview (8-2, 4-1) has now won and shared five straight league titles.
Despite the loss, West Covina (7-3, 4-1) won a share of its first league championship since 2021.
Alta Loma (8-2, 4-1) joins West Covina and Northview in winning the league title after defeating San Dimas 28-7 on Thursday.
Northview and West Covina will both play next week in the CIF Southern Section playoffs. The divisions and first-round matchup
