CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No.11/10 Boston College men’s hockey team dropped its Hockey East opener on Thursday night to Northeastern, falling by a score of 4-1 at Kelley Rink. Teddy Stiga scored for the Eagles, while Oskar Jellvik and James Hagenseach had an assist.

Boston College moves to 2-3-1 overall and 0-1-0 in Hockey East while Northeastern improves to 4-1-0 and 2-0-0 in league play.

Northeastern opened the scoring late in the first period, scoring two goals just 43 seconds apart from James Fisher and Vinny Borgesi.
