Enigmatic goal-kicker Jake Stringer has been delisted by the GWS Giants with the promise he will be re-drafted by the club.

The 31-year-old and young teammate Conor Stone have both been moved off the senior list as part of the Giants’ draft plans for next month, as 7NEWS Melbourne’s Mitch Cleary revealed on Friday.

“Jake Stringer and Conor Stone have been delisted by GWS with the promise of being re-listed,” Cleary said.

“It ensures the Giants take the adequate number of picks to the draft.

“But it does allow them to be snapped up by a rival club…”

Stringer kicked 25 goals from 15 games in his first season at the Giants this year, having been traded from Essendon at the end of 2024.
