3Hyattsville college student scores $34K Racetrax win thanks to dad’s betting advice

HYATTSVILLE, MD — A Prince George’s County college student turned a family outing into a five-figure payday after taking her father’s lottery advice and placing a $30 Racetrax bet that delivered a $34,432.50 prize.

The winner, a Hyattsville resident, claimed the prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore on October 29. She credited her father — a longtime Lottery player — for recommending the Racetrax Superfecta Wheel bet that led to the big win.
