The Amarillo Area Foundation Board of Directors announced the appointment of Keralee Clay as the organization’s new president and chief executive officer on Oct. 20, marking only the fifth leadership transition in the foundation’s history.

Clay has served as interim president and CEO since November 2024, following the departure of longtime leader Clay Stribling, who stepped down to serve as an advisor and passed away shortly afterward on Dec. 18. Stribling's legacy was in the spotlight when he was posthumously honored as the 2024 Amarillo Globe-News Man of the Year .

Speaking during the Oct. 20 announcement, Clay reflected on the transition and expressed gratitude for the foundation’s staff and board.
