SUMMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A suspected drunk driver crashed into a Copley police cruiser early Friday morning, and the officer was injured by flying debris.
Copley Police Chief Mike Mier said the officer was out of his cruiser on a traffic stop on Route 21 near Copley Road when the accident happened.
The officer was struck by debris, but Chief Mier said he was not seriously injured.
The suspected drunk driver had minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
