UXBRIDGE, Mass. —

The Uxbridge, Massachusetts, Select Board chair, Brian Butler, is under fire for a controversial post he made on Facebook.

Some people say what he shared is racist.

"I see both the former President Obama and first lady, Obama as portrayed as, as, an ape and a chimpanzee, and thought this, this is racist, this is disgusting," said Stephen Mandile, an Uxbridge resident who formerly lost re-election to Butler for select board. "I know this person didn't make it, but he's sharing it."

The post, which is too offensive to show, was an AI video of politicians superimposed on animals.

Butler tells NewsCenter 5, "I am furthest from a racist. This is nothing more than political satire."
