Sean "Diddy" Combs is now in New Jersey to serve out his sentence at Ft. Dix Federal Prison in Burlington County, officials said.

Combs is on a fifty month sentence and is scheduled to be released on May 8, 2028 , but he could be released from prison sooner if he completes certain programs or for good behavior.

Attorneys for Combs had asked the judge to send him to Ft. Dix to be closer to his family and because of its drug rehabilitation programs.

Prosecutors had pushed for Combs to serve 11 years in prison , though this is Combs' first criminal conviction. In addition to the prison term, the judge also ordered a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release.
