Like other airlines in the United States, Delta Air Lines has faced setbacks throughout October. Among them were a couple of flights turning back. We saw one example almost two weeks ago, when flight 898 to Los Angeles turned back over a smell in the cabin .

A similar ordeal just took place on another Delta flight. Though this time, the trip was a longer flight from Amsterdam to Boston.

We will take a closer look at what took place, along with Delta's other cancellations and delays on Thursday, October 30. It was a difficult day for the airline, and issues may only persist as the government shutdown continues.

Delta is now calling on Congress to make a deal, while the White House has issued a stern warning over potential Thanksgiving disruptions .
