GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — As the federal government shutdown drags on, military families are among many facing uncertainty.
Active duty service members received a paycheck as scheduled on Oct. 15, though many reported discrepancies .
The White House says it has scraped together enough funding to cover payroll for the troops on Friday. But with no end in sight to the shutdown, further on-time payments are not certain.
