India’s young boxers created a sensation at the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain, winning an unprecedented seven medals-four golds, two silvers, and one bronze. This is the highest medal tally by any Indian sporting discipline at the event and also represents India’s best-ever performance in youth boxing at a continental level.
The BFI also stated that India topped the Girls’ Boxing category, standing first with four golds and one silver, further underlining the country’s growing dominance in the sport.

India’s medal rush started with Khushi Chand (46kg) who began the morning session by defeating Luo Jinxiu of China 4:1 in a tactical match. Soon after that, Ahaana Sharma (50kg) went on to win by RSC in the first round
