Syracuse, N.Y. —Syracuse University alum Mike Tirico has been on the call for some of the biggest events in sports for both NBC and ESPN, but hasn’t quite had the dream assignment he will compile in one day next year.

Tirico, one of the most prominent sports broadcasters trained at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a member of the university’s Board of Trustees, will call Super Bowl XL for NBC Sports on February 8.

Right after the Lombardi Trophy presentation at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, Tirico will host Primetime in Milan – marking the start of his fifth Olympic primetime hosting assignment.
