BLAKELY, Pa. — Halloween is a fun night to be a kid. The big day is finally here, and that means neighborhoods in northeastern and central Pennsylvania will be filled with trick-or-treaters.
While the ghosts, clowns, and monsters will be walking around looking for sweet treats, the Blakely Police Department wants to ensure they stay safe.
Police Chief Guy Salerno says make sure your costumes fit well and suggests wearing makeup instead of a mask. "They should consider carrying a flashlight or maybe glowsticks or even putting reflective tape on their costumes someplace because they are walking on the sidewalks and will cross roadways and things of that nature. Parents should be with their kids, making sure they're safe."
