BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The family of Rick Villarreal shared that the local business owner and respected community member passed away on Wednesday afternoon.

Villarreal suffered a fall, and the family said the injuries were “beyond repair and recovery,” in a post shared online.

“Our grief is beyond measure, and our words will never be enough to describe the passion and generosity he shared for all around him. Our lives will forever be changed, but his memory will be eternal,” the statement reads.

Villarreal owned Cicis restaurants in Bryan/College Station and was known for his community involvement.

He made countless donations and shared support to school programs and fundraisers, scholarships, sports teams, tailgates, first responders, golf tournaments, local charities, and much more.
