ELLENVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Pennsylvania woman is facing multiple charges after an alleged assault in Ellenville on Tuesday. According to the village police department, 28-year-old Sara Levine is accused of stabbing and hitting her stepbrother with a sledgehammer.

According to police, officers were called to reports of "a serious assault" on Westwood Avenue at around 4:42 a.m. When officers arrived, they reported finding one person covered in blood.

During the investigation, officers discovered the suspect, later identified as Levine, had driven to her parents' house, slashed the victim's tires, and used a knife to put deep cuts into the truck before unlawfully entering the home.

Officers said she entered the home with the knife and a sledgehammer, looking for her 61-year-old stepbrot
