CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Crews are currently trying to repair downed power lines and streetlights in west Charlotte, according to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police.

CMPD says the crash happened around 3:16 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, on Wilkinson Boulevard near West Morehead. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, the Mecklenburg EMS Agency (Medic) says.

Wilkinson Boulevard is closed in both directions. At this time, officials expect the road to reopen around 8:16 a.m.

It is unclear if anyone lost power following the crash. However, no power outages were present as of 7 a.m.
