The royal family threw disgraced Prince Andrew “under the bus” when they stripped him of his titles this week — potentially opening him up to a police probe, his biographer claimed Friday.
The bombshell move to formally shun Andrew by removing his titles and evicting him from his residence shows the royals have essentially wiped their hands clean of any controversy tied to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, according to royal historian and author Andrew Lownie.
“I’ve been saying for some time they’re going to throw Andrew under the bus to save themselves and this is the first indication of that,” Lownie told The Mirror .
He added that the move could open the floodgates to a police investigation — and only further add to Andrew’s humiliating downfall.
