A New Hampshire woman said she was shocked to discover a black widow spider in a bunch of red grapes she had purchased from a local Market Basket grocery store earlier this week.
Calista Plaisted, of Northwood, New Hampshire, said she purchased the grapes on Sunday at the Market Basket in nearby Lee, following her usual weekly routine.

"Although I normally wash the produce as soon as I bring it home, my busy schedule prevented me from doing so this time," she said. Three days later, on Wednesday, she said she removed the container of grapes from the refrigerator to wash them for her daughters, who had been asking for some.
