Amtrak's NextGen Acela trains debuted back in August after months of anticipation. The trains continue to make the news for both positive and negative reasons. Passengers recently complained about a possible rebranding proposal and the trains’ inability to reach top speed. The latter isn't Amtrak's fault, however; it's due to the Northeast Corridor's old infrastructure, which wasn’t made for the new high-speed service, and the fact that the tracks are shared with freight and regional trains.
Now, some passengers seem to have an extra concern: an issue with the NextGen Acela train doors. Apparently, some doors haven't opened properly when trains stop at stations along the way, which has led to delays.
