The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office completed a sex offender verification detail just in time for Halloween.
The initiative was aimed at ensuring offenders remain in full compliance with state registration laws.
Deputies visited homes and workplaces of offenders to verify addresses and employment.
180 total attempted sex offender verifications were conducted.
There were two felony arrests and two failure-to-register reports.
Sheriff Noah Robinson stated, “The safety of our residents is always the priority.”
