In a move to prepare students for a technology-driven future, the Ministry of Education has announced that Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computational Thinking (CT) will be introduced in all schools across India from Class 3 onwards.
The Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSEL) has reaffirmed its commitment to making ‘AI for Public Good’ a key pillar of learning, stating that the curriculum will promote critical thinking, creativity, and ethical use of AI from an early age.
A stakeholder consultation was held on October 29, 2025, bringing together representatives from CBSE , NCERT, KVS, NVS, and external experts.
