PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) -- Philadelphia police are investigating after a 47-year-old man sleeping in his vehicle was shot.

According to police, the incident happened around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, October 31, on the 6600 block of Ditman Street in Tacony.

The victim managed to get out of his vehicle and call for help. Medics arrived and took him to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Police said no arrests have been made and no motive has been determined. The investigation is ongoing.
