Pennridge and North Penn are the top two seeds as the District 1 Class 6A football tournament begins with the first round Friday night.
After reaching the district final last season, North Penn finishing with the No. 2 seed may have been the expectation but the Knights’ road there was not the anticipated one — dropping back-to-back games to Neshaminy and Pennridge to sit at 3-2 and 0-2 in the SOL National Conference.
The Knights, however, went perfect over the back half of the regular season and now start the playoffs hosting No. 15 Boyertown at Crawford Stadium at 7 p.m. The Bears are making their first district appearance since 2010 after improving from two wins in 2024 to six this year.
It was a bit harder to envision Pennridge would earn 6A’s top seed coming into 2025 off three cons
