WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee says it is stepping up to support local communities with several initiatives aimed at addressing food insecurity. From November 3 to 7, Hy-Vee stores with hot food service will offer free meals for children aged 12 and under between 4 and 7 p.m. Adults can purchase the same meal for $3, available for dine-in or takeout. The menu includes a variety of meals each day, such as Baked Potato with Pulled Pork on November 3 and Sesame or Orange Chicken Rice Bowl on November 7. For locations without HyChi, the meal will be Two Chicken Tenders, Mashed Potatoes, and Corn.
