An officer in Copley is recovering from minor injuries after his cruiser was hit during a traffic stop.

Police said the officer was making a traffic stop near the intersection of I-77 and Copley Road when a driver hit his car.

According to police, they believe the driver may have been under the influence.

The officer was talking to the person he pulled over when his cruiser was struck.

The driver, who struck the cruiser, was also transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
