COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A man is facing several charges after police responded to an assault call early Friday morning.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers responded at 3:20 a.m. to the 3100 block of Michigan Avenue for a disturbance.
When they arrived, officers were told that someone had been shot inside the home. Upon investigation, officers determined no one had been shot.
A suspect and a victim were inside the home. Officers arrested Lorenzo Avila, 42, for attempted first-degree murder and additional felony charges.
He was booked into the Criminal Justice Center and is being held on a $50,000 bond, according to online jail records.
