ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - The Woodlawn Nature Center in Elkhart is celebrating a big milestone!

The local treasure for outdoor lovers is turning 60, and the City of Elkhart Parks & Recreation Department is inviting you to come out and celebrate on Saturday.

The celebration will feature family activities, guided hikes and local food trucks. There will also be a special proclamation ceremony recognizing the Nature Center’s legacy and impact on generations of Elkhart residents.

The event is free and open to the public. It’s taking place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
