SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - State health officials said four more measles cases were reported in Spartanburg County since Tuesday.
The new cases bring the total number of cases in the Upstate to 37 since July and 34 in the current Spartanburg County outbreak.
According to the South Carolina Department of Public Health, the new cases were linked to close contacts of known cases. Officials said there were no known public exposures from the new cases.
SCDPH is continuing to offer measles-mumps-rubella vaccines to those who have not received yet received one.
Their Mobile Health Unit will be in Spartanburg County through at least November 6 and has administered vaccines to 23 adults and five children since being deployed on October 16.
