HERMISTON, Ore. – Three locations in Hermiston parks were recently equipped with new Automated External Defibrillators, according to the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office.
The new AEDs were installed at Good Shepherd Pickleball Complex, Funland Playground and HEROS Sportsplex, the sheriff’s office said.
Umatilla County Dispatch worked with the City of Hermiston and the Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation to provide the devices, which are meant to provide life-saving capabilities near high-traffic areas.
The sheriff’s office said people in an emergency situation should still call 911 in addition to using the defibrillators.
