The St. Marys Lincolns announced on Thursday they had postponed Friday’s scheduled game against Chatham to January. A Greater Ontario Hockey League Western Conference final rematch would normally be a hot ticket, but not on the same night Toronto can win its first championship since 1993 with a win over Los Angeles in Game 6 of the Fall Classic.

“Enjoy cheering on the Jays – we’ll see you back at the rink soon!” the Lincolns posted on Facebook.

Listowel, which played Thursday in Sarnia, is still scheduled to host Elmira on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Stratford, meanwhile, already had the weekend off and will head to Bowling Green State University for a team bonding trip.
