A magisterial district judge and a local attorney are facing off Tuesday Nov. 4 to see who will fill a vacancy on Cumberland County’s bench next year.
Magisterial District Judge Kathy Silcox of Mechanicsburg is making another run at the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas opposed by area attorney Alexandra “Sasha” Sacavage.
The two are running to fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Cumberland County Judge Ed Guido.
Silcox has served the Mechanicsburg community as a magisterial district judge for the past 12 years. Before that, she spent time prosecuting cases in the Attorney General’s Office and three years in the Department of Revenue.
Sacavage touts experience serving as legal counsel to members of the state house and counsel to the state house committee on ethics.
