Technically, the 2025 MLB season is still going on, though we all hope it ends tonight. But it sure feels like the offseason around these parts, as we’re starting to find some rhythm with our time-honored tradition of ranking the top 44 prospects in the San Francisco Giants organization through the Willie McCovey Memorial Community Prospect List. The first chapters have gotten people really talking about prospects, which is a testament to how much more exciting the farm is right now than in recent years.
The second chapter of the 2026 CPL didn’t bring any surprises, as the favorite led the whole way. And with that, shortstop Josuar González has been voted as the No. 2 prospect in the system, which is a rise of three spots from his No. 5 debut last year.
