DEARBORN, MI - The quiet of a Dearborn neighborhood was broken early Friday morning by what some residents described as the sound of gunfire — moments before federal agents moved in.
Around 6:15 a.m., May Mokdad, 50, a retired Dearborn school teacher who has lived in the area for 20 years, said she and her family were startled awake.
“We heard several shots,” Mokdad said. “It sounded like it was in our backyard.”
Mokdad said she, her husband, Matt Abraham, and their daughter, Dylan, often walk their dog in the neighborhood and were shocked to later learn the FBI had been operating nearby.
“We don’t know who lives at that residence,” she said.
