2PHILADELPHIA, PA – A man sitting in his parked car early Friday morning was struck by gunfire on a quiet street in Northeast Philadelphia.
The shooting happened around 4:22 a.m. on the 6600 block of Ditman Street.
The 47-year-old victim told police he heard several gunshots before realizing he had been hit in the head.
“A 47-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle on the 6600 block of Ditman Street when he heard gunshots and felt warmth on his head. The victim managed to exit his vehicle and went inside to call for help,” the Philadelphia Police Department said in a statement.
