NEW BEDFORD – Three Eversource workers were injured and power was knocked out to 1,347 customers following an incident involving a piece of equipment this morning, according to an Eversource spokeswoman.
The incident occurred in the area of Butler Street and Rodney French Boulevard.
Olessa Stepanova stated the company had crews in the area making preparations for routine work Saturday when there was an incident involving a piece of equipment.
She confirmed three Eversource workers were injured in the incident and were transported for medical care.
The extent of their injuries was not available.
She added Eversource crews worked as quickly and safely as possible to repair the damage and have since restored power to the 1,347 customers who were impacted.
