Fans were already thrilled when Kewan Lacy took the field for Ole Miss this season. The Missouri transfer had a lot to show, not because his abilities were questioned, but rather because he had the type of promise that makes you sit up and watch closely. After all, you don’t run for over 1,500 yards in high school and just fade away quietly. The 5-foot-11 sophomore also made his impression right away.
He exploded for 108 yards and three touchdowns in his Rebels debut game, declaring, “I belong here.” He had that Texas edge, that Dallas pace, and an electric confidence in himself. “ I feel like I bring versatility.” Lacy continued, “I feel like I can do a little bit of everything. I’m not just a scat back, I’m not just a power back. I can catch it out of the backfield.”
