MILAN — As fashion customers have become increasingly spoiled by comfort provided by stretch materials , especially in the sportswear arena, Thermore , the Milan-based premium thermal insulation company for apparel and outerwear, has been banking on the category for quite some time.

Its latest product release, called Freedom, is also Thermore’s best case study in circularity.

In sync with the company’s sustainability -first mission, the new hyper-stretch padding is an update of a previous version — launched last year under the same name. The new iteration is crafted from 100 percent post-consumer, GRS-certified, recycled PET obtained from discarded plastic bottles and electronic supply, such as plugs, cables and connectors.
