CLALLAM COUNTY, Wash. — A 7-year-old boy and his father were killed Thursday when a boat overturned on the Bogachiel River near Forks.
Another person who was also on the boat remains missing.
The Clallam Count sheriff told KING 5 that authorities recovered the boat, but the weather has hampered efforts to use drones. Boats were on the water much of the day without success in locating the missing person.
"There's a lot of people know the rivers, and a lot of people want to help," said Forks resident John Anderson. "This town is really helpful. [When] something happens, everybody comes together near Forks.”
A 911 caller reported the boat accident at around 12 p.m. on Oct. 30. The caller stated that he and three others were aboard when the boat flipped. He was able to stabilize himself by
