Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Darius Slay is being floated as a trade option ahead of the trade deadline on November 4.

Brooke Pryor of ESPN floated Slay’s name as a trade option for teams after he has struggled with the Steelers and his role appears to be diminishing rather quickly.

“He was part of the Steelers’ secondary overhaul in the offseason, but he hasn’t panned out. Slay, who won a Super Bowl with the Eagles a year ago, has been a significant part of recurring issues like missed tackles, miscommunication and being out of position. Against the Packers this past Sunday, Slay was replaced by Brandin Echols at times in the second half,” Pryor wrote.

Slay played in a season-low 50 percent of the snaps as fellow cornerback Brandin Echols sapped into his playing time.
