A woman has been taken to hospital after being struck by a bus in Edinburgh city centre on Friday afternoon. ‌

Emergency services were called to Queensferry Street around 11.45am, with the road closed to traffic and several bus diversions put in place. ‌

Images from the scene show a police cordon as officers carried out investigations. One female pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment, and the road has since reopened. ‌

Two ambulances, a police van and two unmarked police cars were spotted in attendance, reports EdinburghLive.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.45am on Friday, 31 October, 2025, we received a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and a bus at Queensferry Street, Edinburgh. ‌
