MANSFIELD, Pa. (WETM) — Commonwealth University-Mansfield's student-run radio station is asking for your help in assisting those who face food insecurities, especially as the government shutdown is set to affect Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits on Nov. 1.
WNTE 89.5 FM is looking for local businesses and organizations to help make 'WNTE Mountie Game Day' a hit, Michael Clarke, WNTE 89.5 Faculty Advisor, said. The ESPN Game Day-like event is a fundraiser where people can get involved by sponsoring an activity, donating gift cards or prizes, or making a monetary donation. All proceeds will go to local food banks.
