ATLANTA — Due to the ongoing government shutdown, about two dozen parks and day-use areas in Lake Sidney Lanier Park, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will close on Nov. 1.
Registered campers in the affected sites must depart by 3 p.m., the Army Corps said in a news release.
About three dozen other parks and marinas will remain open.
The closed areas are:

Van Pugh South Campground
Old Federal
Belton Bridge
Little River
Thompson Bridge
Robinson
Keiths Bridge
Long Hollow
Varns Tavern
Two Mile
Little Ridge
West Bank
Lower Pool West
Lanier Park
Buford Dam
Van Pugh North
Balus Creek
Little Hall
West Bank
East Bank
Bald Ridge Creek Campground
Lake Lanier has 76 recreational areas, including 37 Corps-operated park
