COLUMBUS, Ohio - The attorneys behind a lawsuit attempting to block the use of Ohio unclaimed funds for projects across the state like the new Browns stadium in Brook Park want a federal judge to put a hold on transferring any money as the case pans out.

The state, meanwhile, wants the case dismissed or put on hold. The competing sides filed separate motions on Friday.

The suit by two Democratic former state officials was originally filed in state court , before it was dropped and refiled Oct. 2 in federal court .
